-cover fundamental poses & their overall function

-learn diaphragmatic breathing & other key breathing techniques to help you to balance your nervous system

-focus on grounding & alignment for your body

Yoga For Sports

Yoga is useful and beneficial to all sports regardless if the sport is your hobby, your form of exercise or your profession. Whether you’re a runner, cross-fitter, kickboxer, cyclist, builder-builder, or so on the implementation of yoga into your training and recovery routine will provide benefits that you will not gain from other types of practices.
Yoga is an ancient tradition deeply embedded in the development of body and mind self-awareness.  While sports performance is deeply embedded in the physical and mental output in any given sport. By incorporating yoga into a regular training program you are going beyond just physical needs of the sports but meeting the mental challenges that may be encountered. 
Our yoga for sports series is offered through 6 weeks. Each series is dedicated to a different sport or group of sports.  The focus of these series are learning how to use yoga to increase power needed for your sport, improve endurance and breath control, improve balance, learn how yoga helps to reduce injury, enhance recovery, and increase concentration and focus.  Please check our website for start and end date of different sport specific series.

These small group yoga therapy classes for stress relief are a unique class designed to help you quiet your mind through simple postures, breathing exercises, visual imagery, and healing meditations.

Learn how to use the tools of yoga and mindfulness that are so valuable in
treating anxiety and stress relief management. Each student will complete health history forms & receive a private yoga therapy session prior to start date & will be guided through a systematic approach to finding balance for the mind-body-spirit.
