This training is not only for 200 & 500 hour Yoga teachers,
It is perfect for: Midwives, Doulas, Nurses, Birth Educators, & Supportive Family and Friends who are interested in expanding their knowledge, teaching & understanding of Prenatal Yoga.
With this workshop you are going to learn how to enrich the pregnancy of all whom you meet, everything from the euphoric first kick to the contraindications and benefits of yoga for the mind body and spirit to the nagging sciatic nerve discomfort to the joys of having a new baby.
You will be supporting & building a community of women & families that can rejoice in their excitement of a new baby and lament the lower back distress that ails them while giving healthful advice and service to your community. You will learn to guide prenatal women through yoga asanas (postures) that help alleviate and combat the aches and discomforts related to pregnancy as well as those that can help heal and bring back the strength that is needed to endure labor & motherhood.
You will learn over 75 asanas (postures) and variations as well as a basic sequencing guide that will allow you to create endless programs whether you are teaching group or private Prenatal Yoga. You will be provided with a text and picture manual as well as a video to watch from your trainings. You will complete 16 hours in the studio and need to teach 4 hours of Prenatal Yoga to others, again, whether you are teaching group or private classes is ok. Yoga teachers can obtain 20 hours of Prenatal Yoga per every 6 months with National Yoga Academy obtaining their Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher Certificate once they complete 100 hours of training total (to get Yoga Alliance Registration).
**IF YOU ARE ALREADY A 200 OR 500 HOUR YOGA TEACHER YOU CAN TEACH WITH YOUR 20 HOUR CERTIFICATION BUT IF PRENATAL YOGA IS YOUR niche THAN YOU MAY WANT TO GO ONTO OBTAIN THE FULL 100 HOUR CERTIFICATION FOR THE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING.
We are honored to guide you through this process. Thank you for your service, it is needed.
